The literary concert Dierbaar was written by Jan Terlouw. In this he was inspired by the Suite del Ángel, passionate music by Astor Piazzolla.

The main character is Wijnand, a successful man who is getting more and more unhappy, though, and comes into conflict with himself and his surroundings. His life is full of women and material things. He can buy anything, go on holiday five times a year. And yet… The ministering angel of his life becomes Wendela, a woman who not only gives him her love but also points out to him the essence of life. The underlying theme is modern man’s consumer behaviour which is dangerous to our earth and ourselves. The penetrative music of the Suite del Ángel potrays in 4 parts an angel who has premonitions of his own death, dies and rises again. The narrative line runs parallel to the music by Piazzolla and takes us along in the change Wijnand undergoes. Music and text are fully interwoven and form a unity.
